TOGETHER WITH
Good morning Tampa!
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, and we all get an extra hour of sleep Sunday when the clocks fall back.
It's still in the mid-80s, and rain chances stay low until Sunday, when storms are possible. In this edition, we have...
Free marigold fields in Plant City
A free craft festival on Water Street
Halloweentown under the stars in Lutz
And more!
Walk the Marigold Fields in Plant City Through Monday
Sánchez Farms Santa Maria opens its marigold fields for the Festival de Cempasúchil, and this is the last weekend. It's free to walk in, 8am to 8pm every day through Monday 11/2.
Cempasúchil is the Mexican name for the marigold, the flower that fills Día de los Muertos altars. Monday is Día de los Muertos itself, so the timing's just right.
You can walk the rows and take all the photos you want. It isn't a U-pick, but the crew cuts fresh bunches to buy under the main tent. Leashed dogs are welcome.
When: Daily through Monday 11/2, 8am to 8pm
Where: Sánchez Farms Santa Maria, 1390 S Forbes Rd, Plant City
Cost: Free. Parking is $10, cash or card.
Tip: Sunset's at 6:46pm Saturday, and the fields stay open until 8. Go late for softer light and cooler air.

Christmas Lights Without the Ladder
It's finally starting to cool off in Tampa, and with Halloween this Saturday, Christmas isn't too far behind.
Drew and the Bright Lights Tampa crew can install permanent LED lights along your roofline once, so you'll never have to climb a ladder to hang Christmas lights again.
The lights stay up year-round, and you can change the colors from an app on your phone for any holiday. They also come with a 10-year warranty.
Tampa Loop readers get 15% off when they book by Saturday, October 31. Book now to lock in the discount.
The Tampa Craft Festival Sets Up on Water Street This Weekend
Handmade arts and crafts fill Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park on Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 5pm. It's free to walk in.
There's a green market with eco-friendly goods too. Christmas is eight weeks out, so you can get a head start on gifts.
You'll be right on the Riverwalk, between the History Center and the river. Make a walk of it once you're done shopping.
When: Saturday 10/31 and Sunday 11/1, 10am to 5pm
Where: Cotanchobee Fort Brooke Park, 601 Water St, Downtown
Cost: Free
Tip: Oktoberfest takes over Curtis Hixon the same weekend, so leave extra time to park.
Halloweentown Under the Stars in Lutz Friday
Tampa Premium Outlets wraps up its free Halloween movie series Friday at 6pm with Halloweentown. It plays on The Greenery, and the popcorn's free while it lasts.
It's an easy one if you've got the grandkids this weekend. Bring a blanket and a costume or two.
You're right off I-75 at State Road 56, so there's no downtown traffic to fight on a Friday night.
When: Friday 10/30, 6pm
Where: The Greenery at Tampa Premium Outlets, 2300 Grand Cypress Dr, Lutz
Cost: Free
Tip: Get there a few minutes before 6 if you want the popcorn.
